    Valentine paper crafting {Love Paper Box from MakeBox + Co}

    I always feel that Valentine’s Day should be celebrated but simply. It feels like I’m still paying off the excesses of Christmas in February and I want Valentine’s Day to be meaningful more than anything else. My daughter has already asked when she’s getting for Valentine’s Day so I’ve been emphasising the handmade nature of our gifts this year. The children have been busy making cards and have bought small chocolate gifts for their friends. I love that my 8 year old made a card for her boyfriend, I really hope she gets one back. Free Baby Yoda inspired colouring sheet for kids

    My son and husband are huge Star Wars fans. We all loved the latest Star Wars film, Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker when we watched it last week. This was the first year my son didn’t ask for a Star Wars Lego set for Christmas which made me feel a bit sad, although he did buy a small Mandalorian Lego set. We can’t wait to watch The Mandalorian when it comes to the UK via Disney+ this March. According to an Instagram post from John Favreau, writer and director, the series is set between the end of…

    DIY Valentine’s Day gift bag with paper weave detail

    Have you started thinking about Valentine’s Day yet? I love to give my children a card and a little sweet treat, just like my parents used to give me and my sister. This year I wanted to make a paper treat bag to hold my treats. They are embellished with a paper weave detail which adds a pop of colour. I used a rainbow of colours but I think they would look lovely in monochrome or pastels too. Valentine’s clay handprint keepsake

    A few weeks ago my daughter and I were shopping in Hobbycraft where we found a huge display of air drying clay alongside some inspiration of things to make. My daughter wanted to try making something at home so we bought a huge pack of white air drying clay and went home. How to make a Valentine’s clay handprint keepsake We cut the block of clay in half and rolled out one half until it was large enough to place both her hands on it. She pressed both her hands into the clay and I drew around them with a…
