On Wednesday we took part in a Twitter party for Blaze and the Monster Machines. The children love taking part in Twitter parties and this was a fun one as we got to see the latest Blaze and the Monster Machine toys, as well as take part in some fun STEM activities. Blaze knows everything about science, technology, engineering and maths. When things get really tough he can use his scientific know-how to transform himself into any machine. During the Twitter party we took part of four educational STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) focussed activities, and played with lots of new Blaze…

My children have been the lucky recipients of some amazing toys lately. Today I wanted to tell you about the latest addition to the Disney Pixar Cars range, the new Disney Pixar Cars Drop and Jump Gray Transporter Playset from Mattel. Inspired by the Disney Pixar Cars 2 film, this playset features Gray who is The King’s big rig hauler/transporter. This toy opens up to be a fun playset, perfect on its own but you can buy other Story Sets and make a huge racing track for your die cast cars. Gray doesn’t come with a die cast vehicle but…

Before Christmas I told you about itty bittys from Hallmark, they are a collectable plush toy in a huge range of characters which appeal to both children and adults. Each plush measures just 4″ and new characters are always being launched, from recently released films as well as figures from some of the most recognisable and popular film and TV shows. The Wizard of Oz itty bittys I loved reading The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and the sequels when I was younger. The story of Dorothy Gale, who is swept away to a magical land in a tornado and embarks…

Last year we told you about Schleich’s new range of prehistoric animals and shared a fun craft idea, DIY dinosaur fossils using the Schleich mini dinosaurs from the range. We love our Schleich toys so were pleased to be sent the new dinosaurs from Schleich’s The First Dinosaurs range. For 2016, Schleich has gone back to the era when prehistoric creatures first walked our planet with the introduction of ‘The First Dinosaurs’. It’s been a while since we shared any toy reviews with you but I have a really fun toy to tell you about today. Regular readers will know I have two crafty kids so I knew they would enjoy the 2-in-1 Sticker Magic from Flair’s Cool Create range. These are designed for both girls and boys, aged between 5 – 10 years old. I loved this kind of thing when I was younger so I had high hopes for this craft kit. According to the blurb: 2-in-1 Sticker Magic is the fun and easy to use sticker machine! Create and…

We’ve been Playmobil Playologists for the last few years and my children absolutely love receiving Playmobil eggs for Easter. They receive plenty of chocolate eggs from friends and family so these plastic eggs and toys are a great alternative. This year they were sent two of the Playmobil Eggs. There are 4 different toys available, each in a different coloured plastic shell. Little Sis received the Mermaid with Seahorses and Big Brother the Soccer Player with Goal. Both eggs contained lots of pieces so you need to build the toys. Neither took very long to put together and each toy…

What’s on the top of your Christmas tree this year? I’d love to say we had a fairy but that would just be cruel with two children who still believe in the magic of fairies. Luckily for them there are plenty of toys for them to re-create the world of Tinker Bell and her friends. Little Sis was the lucky recipient of a bundle of toys which included Take Flight Tink and some Disney Fairies dolls from Jakks Pacific to play with. We’re firm believers in fairies in our house. We have two fairy houses and a fairy village in…
