This year is all about experimenting with new crafts as well as ploughing through my craft stash. I was delighted to be sent a new creation by designer, illustrator and author Coralie Bickford-Smith. Bickford-Smith attracted worldwide attention with her award-winning cloth-bound series of Penguin Classics and her children’s book The Fox and the Star. Royal Mail have just launched their new Christmas stamps which feature two of my favourite characters, Wallace and Gromit. Religious and secular themed stamps are published in alternate years and this year is the turn of secular designs (stamps featuring the Madonna and child are also on sale). There are five stamps specially created by Ardman, showing Wallace and Gromit singing carols, posting their Christmas cards, decorating the tree, opening Christmas presents and carrying a Christmas pud.
