Four Corner Press quilt block

Posted on March 7, 2008December 8, 2017 by jenny

I joined the Dear Baby Jane project and here is my first effort. I have also ordered the book, so I’ll plenty to inspire me along the way. I’m off to Manchester with work today so I’ve packed some fabrics to sew into hexagons on the train. There’s nothing like crafting on work time!

Finally – WIP!

Posted on March 6, 2008October 23, 2017 by jenny

Ever since our little boat holiday I have been working towards making my own quilt. I made my first quilt when I was 16, for my first serious boyfriend who was off to Uni. When we split up I didn’t think it was polite to ask for it back. Fast forward 14 years (oh I…

I made something!

Posted on August 27, 2007February 26, 2026 by jenny

I’ve had a great Bank Holiday weekend, just the right amount of seeing friends, DIY and doing cool new stuff. We went to Walthamstow Stadium on Saturday night to watch the Greyhound racing. It was so much fun and I even broke even! We also finally had the time to do the Parkland Walk from…

Wee Wonderfuls birdie pattern

Posted on August 10, 2007March 6, 2019 by jenny

I was lucky enough to test this pattern a couple of months ago. The pattern was really easy to understand and took a couple of hours to make from scratch. I used some of my favourite Cath Kidston fabric for the body. Buy them here.

Happy Valentines Day

Posted on February 14, 2007February 19, 2011 by jenny

I’ve seen lots of hearts covered in buttons so tried making one myself. I used a new felt which was lovely to sew with and lots of buttons from my stash.
