As it’s Real Nappy Week it seems a good time to tell you about the gPants we have recently been using. We love using reuseable nappies and were really excited to meet the founders of gNappies recently. Whilst reuseable nappies have obvious benefits to the environment gNappies go one step further. They give you two options which go easy on the planet – a disposable but 100% biodegradable gRefill or washable gCloth. Little Sis has been trying out the little gPants with the gRefills. As you can see they look adorable on her little bottom, just like proper pants, and…

I was reading the latest issue of Mother & Baby and there was an intriguing article about Elimination Communication. Basically it means not using nappies and just knowing when your child needs the toilet. Despite being a stay at home mum I just can’t imagine having the time to do this on top of everything else. Sorry but I love nappies – reuseable and disposable – I’m happy to use both on my children, but they will wear nappies until they’re potty trained! We were sent the latest bumGenius freetime to review. You may remember some time go we tried…

You may remember last week I was testing the miosolo real nappy from bambino mio. Our final three challenges were to try the nappy overnight, get someone who doesn’t usually try them to test them and see how they wash and dry. The overnight challenge Little Sis is only 7 weeks old so our nights are pretty much like our days! For the purpose of this review I pretended I was lucky enough to have an evening and put the nappy on her when we all finally went to bed at 11pm. Her longest period of sleep was only 2…

Challenge 2 – the out & about challenge Yesterday’s challenge was to test the ease of the miosolo when out and about. We had a couple of chores to do so bundled into the pram and off we went. We were only out for about 2 hours, but as Little Sis had a bottle before we left, we thought this was a good test of the miosolo. We went out in the Phil & Ted’s so she was lying down whilst we were out with plenty of room to move around. I checked the nappy whilst we were out, just…

A couple of week ago I was really delighted to be asked to take part in a real nappy challenge with some other bloggers. I’ve umm-ed and ahh-ed over real nappies, and whilst I would love to do my bit for the environment, I just didn’t know where to start. I’d already attended a nappucino and tried other brands of real nappies but not really got on very well. Therefore this was a brilliant opportunity to try again with Little Sis. The challenge consists of putting the miosolo to the test through a series of daily challenges over this week…

A while ago I attended a Nappucino to learn more about real nappies. The Borough I live in give vouchers towards the cost of real nappies to encourage people to give them a go. To be honest I have struggled with real nappies but I try to use them whenever I can, especially when we are staying close to home. We were sent two bumGenius V4 from baby kind to try. The bumGenius v4 is a stay-dry, one-size pocket nappy. The good points: built in waterproof outer cover and inner lining hook and loop or poppers to fasten…
