For our final QuinnyCasters challenge we were asked “How do you say goodbye to your QuinnyCaster period?” I asked my son what he thought and we decided to hold a teddy bear’s picnic with our Quinny Zapp Xtra as the special guest. We sat round our blanket and ate cake and drank fizzy pop. We shared happy memories of trips out in the Quinny Zapp Xtra. We even read out our Quinny Zapp Xtra haiku which we composed especially: Our time as Quinny Casters is over we have had fun and made friends We’ve enjoyed our time as QuinnyCasters…

The latest QuinnyCasters challenge is to photograph our little ones in their Zapp Xtras in an interesting or unique environment. Sadly I’m a Zone 3 suburban mum and the most exciting place we usually go is Brent Cross. However when I was looking through my recent photographs I found this: My son snoozing in his Quinny Zapp Xtra at our favourite coffee shop on the Isle of Wight where we spent Christmas. We’ve used the footmuff every day since we bought it as it’s so useful and keeps him snug. He’s wearing his little monster outfit and sucking on his…

I’m so excited to tell you that I’ve finally won a QuinnyCasters challenge! Our third challenge was to use all possible online means to tell the world about our Quinny Zapp Xtra. Well I love a challenge and set about reviewing the Zapp Xtra on my favourite forums and websites, including Netmums, Mumsnet, Mums the Word, Bounty, as well as my blog, my baby blog and flickr. My motivation was that the top 3 QuinnyCasters who posted the most constructive and/or most reviews/testimonials would receive a hamper which would include: a Hoppop Motta Bike, Hoppop Donut Potty, Hoppop Coppa drinking…

As part of the latest QuinnyCasters challenge I invited a fellow QuinnyCaster to write a guest post about her experiences with the Quinny Zapp Xtra. Sabina writes over at Mummy Matters: Describe the Quinny Zapp Xtra in three words – Lightweight, Versatile, Funky Marks out of ten? – 8/10 What’s your favourite feature? – I love that you can have it front or parent facing, its nice to have the choice. Can I sneak in a second “favourite” – I love the hood, its so much better than other hoods on the market. What could be improved? – The chassis…

What do men think of pushchairs? We have a very trendy friend who only ever uses one hand to push his son around but I’m pleased to say when we’re out and about my husband does his fair share of pushing. So I thought I’d ask his for his thoughts on the Quinny Zapp Xtra: What do men really think of pushchairs? The first I heard of the Quinny Zapp Xtra was back in September when my wife told me she was a QuinnyCaster. My pushchair knowledge was limited to what I had seen as part of our John Lewis…

We’ve been using the Quinny Zapp Xtra for the last couple of months now and our third assignment is to spread the word about the Zapp Xtra. As you may know the Zapp Xtra was designed with feedback from Quinny Zapp users. Modifications include a forward or rear facing seat which also reclines and is suitable from birth. The Zapp Xtra is sold with car seat adapters for all Maxi-Cosi infant seats, a hood and rain cover and the (optional) Zapp basket. Edward loves the Quinny Zapp Xtra and finds it very comfortable and sleeps soundly in it. We always…

…the snow finally came. I’d been watching the news about the snow fall and feeling left out until last night. About 10pm the snow started falling and barely stopped all day. Fortunately my husband was discharged from hospital today so we decided to take Edward for a walk so he could see his first snow. This was also our first opportunity to see how the Quinny coped in the snow. So we bundled ourselves up in layers of clothing and off we went. The Quinny handled well in the snow. I had to push it quite hard to get it…

I failed miserably at the first QuinnyCasters assignment. My reporting of the opening and assembly of the Quinny Zapp Xtra failed to impress the judges and I didn’t win a prize. So I bought the Quinny footmuff from ebay which I love! It can be used on the Quinny and the Maxi-Cosi car seat so we’re able to use it all the time which is handy in this cold weather. Brrrr. Anyway, the second assignment was to capture your child feeling happy in their Quinny. Hmmm. Edward only smiles and giggles when I’m blowing raspberries on his tummy or pulling…

When the people at Dorel (who own the Quinny brand) heard that the Quinny Zapp Xtra fell over with the Maxi-Cosi car seat they recalled the chassis to take a look at it. It was examined at the service centre and fully inspected and tested by their Head Engineer. No faults were found with the chassis or breaking system and everything works as it should. I’m not sure whether I’m pleased or not. I expected it to have a fault as surely a pushchair would not be made which could not support the weight of the car seat it is…
