{Review} Citygrips – pushchair handlebar grip covers

It’s been a sad week as we finally returned the Bugaboo Bee we had on loan. I loved that buggy so much! I would definitely buy one if Little Sis was younger but she’s keen to walk rather than sit these days. Fortunately for me she does still need a buggy – where would I put my shopping if I didn’t have one!? Citygrips – pushchair handlebar grip covers We were sent some fun citygrips from choopie who create innovative, affordable and stylish products that make life easier and brighter for parents. Citygrips are soft, stylish and comfortable grip covers…

Out and about in London with the Bugaboo Bee

A couple of weeks ago I was offered a Bugaboo Bee to help us complete our Summer Bucket List. You may remember I had a much-loved Bugaboo Cameleon so I was delighted to try the Bee. Although we haven’t been very successful in ticking things off our Summer Bucket List we have been out and about every day with the Bugaboo Bee. We’ve been on the tube. We’ve been on the bus. We’ve pounded the local streets and loaded it down with some fab vintage finds. We’ve been to the park, visited friends, and slept. And slept some more. It’s…

A smooth ride with Britax Affinity

Over the last week I’ve been testing the Britax Affinity with Little Sis as part of my role as a Britax Mumbassador. I have to say I didn’t think Little Sis would ever be on the receiving end of a new pushchair. There is lots of choice with the Britax Affinity and we have the black chassis with the Cool Berry fabric set which I love. It’s nice to stand out from the crowd and we’ve certainly been doing that! It took minutes to put together and we’ve been enjoying using it. It is equally easy to handle on the…

    Orbit Baby G2

As a self-confessed pram addict I feel the need to keep up to date with the latest launches which is why yesterday I found myself at  the UK launch of the Orbit Baby G2 buggy. Afternoon tea in the beautiful Loft Lounge at The Hospital Club, Covent Garden, was an added bonus. The Orbit Baby G2 is a pioneering buggy which launched in the UK for the very first time yesterday. It is the product of a two-year process of user research, and has already experienced tremendous success in the United States, with an A-list celebrity following (Natalie Portman, Maggie…

A day at the Olympic Park – London 2012

Today was the day we had tickets for the Synchronised Swimming at the Olympic Park. We decided to take the toddler but leave the 8 month old with nanny who was happy to shop at Westfield Stratford. We drove to Buckhurst Hill and got the tube from there to Stratford which was only a couple of stops. Initially we had the tube to ourself, although it got busier at every station nearer to the Olympic Park. Once we got off the tube we felt like we were part of a very well-oiled machine. As well as thousands of spectators there…

In need of a new pushchair

Earlier this year we bought our first Maclaren stroller. I was very excited as I’ve always wanted a Maclaren. We chose the Quest Sport as it was perfect for our needs – lightweight, easy to collapse and fold with one hand (and foot). Ever since we bought it I’ve used it every day and not used my beloved Bugaboo Chameleon. I love my Maclaren! However, only four months on and it’s already past its best… Things I love lightweight, easy to collapse and fold with one hand adequate shopping basket maneoverable with one hand showerproof hood and easy to use…

    Pram junkie

When I was pregnant I naively thought that I’d have one pram which would see us from birth to the toddler years. At 10 months Little Man has three pushchairs: Bugaboo Cameleon, Quinny Zapp Xtra and a Maclaren Quest Sport. Looking back through some old pictures I realised that I must have inherited this pram lust from my mother. In my first year I’m photographed in a Silver Cross,  a Maclaren and another pram (name long forgotten). I love this photograph of me in my Maclaren in 1977. Apparently my mum bought it from Mothercare for £9.99 in 1973 when…

Sleeping beauty – Quinny Zapp Xtra style

The latest QuinnyCasters challenge is to photograph our little ones in their Zapp Xtras in an interesting or unique environment. Sadly I’m a Zone 3 suburban mum and the most exciting place we usually go is Brent Cross. However when I was looking through my recent photographs I found this: My son snoozing in his Quinny Zapp Xtra at our favourite coffee shop on the Isle of Wight where we spent Christmas. We’ve used the footmuff every day since we bought it as it’s so useful and keeps him snug. He’s wearing his little monster outfit and sucking on his…
