Last year we told you about Schleich’s new range of prehistoric animals and shared a fun craft idea, DIY dinosaur fossils using the Schleich mini dinosaurs from the range. We love our Schleich toys so were pleased to be sent the new dinosaurs from Schleich’s The First Dinosaurs range. For 2016, Schleich has gone back to the era when prehistoric creatures first walked our planet with the introduction of ‘The First Dinosaurs’. The collection includes five of the first well-known dinosaurs, each of which come complete with moving jaw and educational booklet which contains facts about each dinosaur. The species…

What’s on the top of your Christmas tree this year? I’d love to say we had a fairy but that would just be cruel with two children who still believe in the magic of fairies. Luckily for them there are plenty of toys for them to re-create the world of Tinker Bell and her friends. Little Sis was the lucky recipient of a bundle of toys which included Take Flight Tink and some Disney Fairies dolls from Jakks Pacific to play with. We’re firm believers in fairies in our house. We have two fairy houses and a fairy village in…

I’ve mentioned a few times that my 5 year old is obsessed with the Clangers. He has a few Clanger toy and recently added the Musical boat to his collection of little toys. Therefore he was pretty happy to open a parcel containing the Clangers Squeeze and Whistle Plush to review. Character Options have brought out some new toys and the line-up of cuddly toys, figures and playsets all perfectly emulate the characters and backdrops from the wonderful stop frame animation series that began on CBeebies in the summer. Tiny and Small can be found as Squeeze and Whistle Plush toys at…

Originally published in 1978, The Snowman, created and illustrated by Raymond Briggs has become one of the world’s most popular children’s books. Adapted for screen by producer John Coates, the Oscar-nominated animation launched on Channel 4 in its inaugural year in 1982 and has been repeated every Christmas since. …

One of the perks of being a blogger is that my children get to review some lovely toys. Big Brother is a typical boy who has enjoyed playing with cars since he could grasp one. Over the years I’ve loved watching him play with them and his growing imagination means he is never short of ideas to play. He was recently sent the Hot Wheels Nitrobot Attack playset to tell you about. Hot Wheels Nitrobot Attack Hot Wheels toys are fun and you can save the City from the Nitrobot with the Hot Wheels Nitrobot Attack! Yep, kids can now…

As I’ve mentioned a few times, my 5 year old absolutely adores the Clangers who recently made a return to children’s tv. During the summer holidays we spent many happy hours perfecting our own version of the Clangers home planet. It’s actually still going strong despite hours of play. The BBC Shop has a great range of Clangers toys and we were invited to choose one to play with and tell you about. We chose the Clangers Home Planet Playset which my son has been talking about for months. He already has a few Clangers figures and the Home Planet…

We’ve been sent a few lovely toys to review lately and the last one I wanted to tell you about today was the Aquabeads Sweets set. Aquabeads are small round coloured balls which stick together with a spray of water. My 3 year old loves them, which surprises me as they are quite small, so she was really pleased to receive the Aquabeads Sweets set to review. These small Aquabeads sets only contain the templates and beads, you will need to own an Aquabeads layout tray and sprayer. The set contains 600 beads in 10 different colours, both jewel and solid beads.…
