Today is World Baking Day and I couldn’t let it pass without making something special for my family. I had planned to make some tea bag biscuits for the family. I did make them but they didn’t look good enough to share with my family so I used the extra dough to make some Miffy biscuits. My children love biscuits, but biscuits in the shape of their favourite characters are incredibly popular and make them super happy. I’m pleased to say the past week has been slightly less manic as I’ve taken a small step back from blogging and spent more time crafting! Take a look if you’re thinking of building your own! We’re huge fans of Miffy so I was pretty excited the miffy bento lunch I made for my children was shared on the miffy blogs too. As you know I’m a Miffy Mum and we’ve been having so much fun incorporating Miffy into our every day crafting. The only thing we hadn’t tried yet was Miffy play dough so I made some. Although Miffy is white she lives in a colourful world. I think part of the appeal of Miffy is the colourful world she lives in so I made orange play dough using my usual play dough recipe. Orange for the carrots Miffy eats and because it is our favourite colour. Ingredients needed to make Miffy play dough: 150g plain flour 100g salt 2 tsp.…

Now we all know that a lot of things improve over time – think about your classic leather sofa or a really good cheese. This month the TSB Plus Account has just turned one year old. The maximum interest you can earn in a year from the Plus Account is £100 AER (5% AER on up to £2000), so what would you do with a spare £100? As a full time mum it’s not often there’s any money left over for treats so I think I would probably treat the children. They both have Lego sets at the top of…

February 3 marks the start of the Chinese New Year – and this year is the Year of the Rabbit. To celebrate, Miffy’s author Dick Bruna has designed a series of new Miffy images. In a lovely little twist, Dick Bruna was actually born in the Year of the Rabbit, back in 1927! Illustration Dick Bruna © Mercis bv 2011 Miffy is of course one of the most famous rabbits of all time. Just for fun I thought I would list the top ten most famous bunnies (in order of creation): • The White Rabbit – featured in Lewis Carroll’s…

Today my little blog was featured on the Stokke Lovers blog and Facebook page all due to our love of our Tripp Trapp. I was so happy I took a screen shot: I was also lucky enough to be featured on the Miffy UK Facebook page for our recent video review of the lovely Miffy Rattle Car. Both features brought me a few new visitors so I hope you will stick around!

The lovely people at Miffy sent Edward a toy from the new selection of classic Miffy toys which have never been available in the UK before. The Miffy rattle car is suitable from 6 months and features a chunky handle – prefect for little chubby fingers learning to grip. Each of the four wheels contains small balls, which provide the rattle, and feature Dick Bruna’s other well known characters. The rattle makes a noise when pushed along. At 7 months Edward is interested in toys he can really interact with so I wasn’t sure how much fun he would have with…
