    Christmas comes early

When Edward was just three weeks old my husband had emergency surgery for a diverticular abcess. The pain came really quickly and was undiagnosed for a week before suddenly a blood test revealed what was wrong with him and he was rushed into hospital. It was a strange time in our life. We felt like we should be celebrating the safe arrival of our new baby whilst in reality we were separated and I was visiting my husband in hospital twice a day. Good news

Yay, my husband was finally discharged from hospital this afternoon. After 31 trips to visit him (often with poor little Edward in tow) I think we are all relieved he has been allowed to recuperate at home.

He is also quickly growing out of his newborn babygros. I’m hoping to…

I couldn’t find much information about the technique and I’m glad I didn’t otherwise I don’t think I would have gone through with it. First I had my temperature and blood pressure taken, the fetal heartbeat was monitored for 45 minutes and I did a urine test. A doctor did an ultrasound on a small machine to check the baby was still breech. Around 10.45 I saw…
