Last week was a lot of fun and I cut back on my blogging and felt really creative for a change. I completed a little wall hanging that’s been half finished for months. Years ago I made really small EPP hexagons with no real idea of what I was going to do with them. I decided to stitch them to a piece of linen and hang them on my Quilt Gallery Wall. You’re probably not surprised to hear that my Monthly Makes have had a decidedly festive feel this month. The union jack cot quilt didn’t get finished in time for Little Sis’s birthday (bad mummy). It’s made it to the top of my WIP list for 2015 and I’m going to blog about my progress every month until it’s bound and quilted. I have made some smaller projects. It’s three weeks since I wrote about the Grandmother’s Flower Garden doll quilt I’ve been working on. You may remember I asked for some advice as I’d got to a mini crisis point. I loved reading everyone’s suggestions so I thought I’d share a little update. I was lucky enough to find a remnant of the green material I was using for the flower border which made things much easier. I’ve been really lucky to attend both the Spring Knitting & Stitching Show as well as the Spring Country Living Fair in the last week. Life has been chugging on as usual except for some very exciting days out. Over the last few weeks we’ve had fun at the Rainbow Park on the Southbank, a Day out with Thomas, a Christening, watching the Torch Relay and a trip to Legoland. We’re all feeling quite tired and we still have a trip to the Olympics to look forward to at the weekend. The children are great (despite runny noses and bottoms).
