there was a little girl who wanted to be an archaeologist. She spent her summers digging with a small trowel in muddy fields and lived and breathed history. The year this photograph was taken was a very special year. It was 1998 and I spent a couple of weeks on an amazing site on the Isle of Bute before I headed off to Italy for some backpacking and a 2 week stay at the British School in Rome. I had the time of my life. I was studying Ancient History and Archaeology at University and immersed myself in it all.…
