Monday Happy List

Sunday Happy Things {Week 422}

Christmas lights in London

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. I’m mixing things up a little by posting this weekly post on Sunday instead of Monday!

Sunday Happy Things {Week 422}

My daughter played in another netball cluster for her school, as well as representing the school in the hockey team last week. Her team came third in the hockey match and they were awarded bronze medals which she was really pleased about.

We enjoyed a great day out in London. In the morning we went to the British Museum to see the Benin bronzes. After a delicious lunch at Honest in Covent Garden we went to the ENO to watch The Yeoman of the Guard. Then we walked to the tube station via Leicester Square, Regent Street, Carnaby Street and Oxford Street to see as many Christmas lights as we could! The kids loved this installation we found outside the British Museum.

We watched Enola Holmes 2 on Netflix. The story was loosely based on the real life story of the London matchgirls’ strike in the 1880s.

I finished reading When He Was Wicked, from the Bridgerton series, number 6 by Julia Quinn. I didn’t really enjoy it that much and was quite pleased to finish it! I’ve promised myself not to read any more Bridgerton books and just watch the adaptations on Netflix.

Our little pup turned 3 last week. He received a pamper at the dog groomers and some tasty treats from the Duck Pond Market. Fingers crossed he calms down a little soon.

Have a great week!

    I saw Enola Homes recently it’s such a good movie. It sounds like your daughter’s team did well at netball, that’s great to hear!

    I love this idea for a post. I used to play Netball and loved it, I hope to watch both the Enola Holmes films soon as I love sherlock and also Millie Bobby Brown.

    I watched Enola Holmes the other day as well. It’s a great and easy movie, I really enjoyed it. I’ll be in London tomorrow and I’m hoping to check out some of the Christmas lights as well.
