I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.
Five Happy Things {Week 252}
We started the week by holding a Missing Link viewing party at home to celebrate the release of the film on DVD and digital download. We love sitting down to watch a film (it’s the only time my children are quiet!) and this is a good family film. Don’t forget to enter my giveaway where you can win a copy of the film and more.
Although the children both spent time at holiday clubs we had plenty of time at home too. We made a start of some new painted rocks. the children picked some smooth stones, washed them and left them to dry outside in the sunshine. Then we placed them on a tarpaulin and spray painted them using a spray paint gun. I’ve never had such lovely, smooth painted rocks before! It was the perfect base to decorate them and we all made some to take away on holiday with us.
Whilst the children were busy I took myself off to Granary Square in Kings Cross to see the Misshapes the Making of Tatty Devine exhibition. The exhibition celebrates 20 years of Tatty Devine and shows a great selection of their jewellery.
On Friday we travelled to Duinrell in the Netherlands for a holiday. You may remember we visited last year and had so much fun we decided to visit again. Last year we booked via Eurocamp but this year booked direct. The weather has been amazing and we’ve spent most days at the Tiki pool.
You don’t really need to leave Duinrell as it has pretty much everything you need for a family holiday. However the pretty town of Wassenaar is literally outside the park so we made a visit there. It’s a really pretty town with windmills, street cafes with cinnamon rolls and lovely shops.
Have a great week everyone!
