Step out in style with Clarks

Heatwave one week, threats of snow in October the next. I seriously cannot keep on top of the weather at the moment!

However, I’m on the lookout for some winter boots for Edward and Clarks have some great contenders. From sports inspired shoes to boots tailor-made for the great outdoors, the essential trends for this season are here! Soft suede and premium leathers are used in mini-me styles that take their lead from work wear (great for Edward who loves to copy his daddy). Essential winter wear features, including warm linings Gore-Tex and Active Air technologies, add fit for purpose to contemporary looks.

I particularly love the style of the Build Boy, a classic boy’s Chelsea boots with ‘mini-me’ styling, soft leather and rugged soles. Or the Ladders, another ‘mini-me’ work boot style which includes double rip-tape straps and a handy heel loop for easy on-off, while a padded ankle collar offers comfort. Perfect for my little man to stomp around in.

There’s plenty of choice for the girls too. From boots to pumps, fashion is the watchword that’s inspired the exciting new girls’ collection for Autumn/Winter 2011. Soft suede and premium leather boots combine the very latest looks with essential winter wear features like deliciously warm linings and Gore-Tex technology.

All Clarks shoes are expertly created then fitted to nurture children’s feet as they grow.  The bone structure of a child’s foot changes dramatically over the first few years and it is not until the age of three that the foot will have 26 bones.  The final structure, however, won’t be in place until your child is in their late teens, so Clarks ensure their shoes support each stage of development.  We will be heading to our local Clarks for a fitting as soon as this silly weather ends – bring on Autumn!
