I’m a huge fan of crafting with Duck Tape. It’s strong, colourful and good value. My local Hobbycraft always has an eye catching display and a few weeks ago we spotted they had Star Wars Duck Tape! My 5 year old is obsessed with Star Wars so we bought some to craft with. He made me a picture frame with it so I thought it was about time I made him a little gift.
Whilst he was at school I made him a Star Wars Duck Tape wallet to keep all his Star Wars cards safe. This took 10 minutes so I’m sharing it with you in case you want to have a go.
Equipment needed to make a Star Wars Duck Tape wallet
Star Wars Duck Tape
Contrasting roll of Duck Tape (I used silver)
Sheet of A4 paper
Scissors
Velcro dots

How to make a Star Wars Duck Tape wallet
Cover one side of your A4 sheet with strips of the Star Wars Duck Tape.

Turn over and cover the other side with your contrasting roll of Duck Tape. Cut away any loose ends.

Make sure you have your print up the right way if there is one and roughly measure where you want to fold your Duck Tape sheet.

Gently press along the crease with your finger.

I took a strip of my contrasting roll and cut it in two lengthways. I used this thin strip to seal the two sides, fold over the front and back of the wallet. Use more Duck Tape to cover the inside edge and flap of your wallet – you don’t need to do this but it makes the finished wallet look nicer. If I had any Duckling tape I would use this rather than cut Duck Tape, I was on my own and got in a bit of a mess!

As I knew my son was going to use the wallet to store his Star Wars trading cards I added velcro dots to close the wallet.

I left it out for him to find when he got home from school and he loved it! It’s a great print and I know it will last for a while.
