On average we spend 312 hours each year in our cars, yet cleaning our mobile home-from-home is one of the nation’s most-neglected chores, with a third of Brits only cleaning the inside of their car every six months or less!

I was surprised to hear that men clean the inside of their car more than women – with almost half (48%) of men cleaning the interior at least once a month or more, compared to 37% of women. I was offered the loan of a team of Febrezers to come and clean our car ahead of spring cleaning season.   3. Clean the dashboard using a soft-bristle toothbrush with cleaning fluid in a circular motion to get into all the grooves.
  4. Use a large soft paintbrush to dust the interior trim, around the steering wheel and clean the air vents.

SHINY ON THE OUTSIDE

  1. Always wait for your car to cool down before you wash it to avoid soapy smears and deposits.

  3. Roll the windows down when you clean them so you can reach the top edges.

    I used to clean my car every week when I first got it, now I do it less often but still as often as I can. Perhaps every 3 weeks. I’m always doing the windows though, dirt on the windows or smears really annoy me lol.
