Reasons to be cheerful

So many reasons to be cheerful this week:

1. Edward is better and back to his normal self. We’ve experienced our first bout of sickness and diarrhoea which was unpleasant. I’ve never done so much washing in Edward’s short life! Fortunately he’s fine and he’s eating home cooked food and sleeping well again. Phew.

2. One of my worries about giving up work was if I could stimulate Edward more than if he attended nursery. I’ve drawn up a list of local activities so there’s always something we can go out and do. I also made some new mum friends at swimming and I’m looking forward to spending time with them and organising playdates for Edward.

3. I’ve been lucky to win tickets to the XFactor tour at the O2 and the Country Living Spring Fair recently. It was great to do something a bit different and spend time with friends without Edward. Much as I love my little man I do like to do something for myself now and then.

  1. Congratulations on winning the tickets – I bet you will enjoy the shows so much more knowing that the tickets were won! Great idea to draw up a list of activities – think I may pinch the idea to stop me lurching from day to day!

  2. Lucky girl. You will enjoy X Factor. as to stimulating your little one more than a nursery – just look at the one to one lanuguage sessions he gets with you compared with adults at the nursery!!!

  3. Lucky you on the X Factor thing – jealous!
Nice to win competitions and I have had some success on that front recently too.
Glad your son is feeling better and yes, do research what you can do with him or you may feel bored with the stay at home routine if it goes on too long without you and he having new friends.
