The weather has been so hot recently we haven’t baked anything. The children have been bugging me to create something though so this week I relented and we baked some rainbow jam tarts.
I’m no pastry cook so bought some shortcrust pastry and used Fruit Shoot squeezy jams to fill them. Fruit Shoot have recently launched their new range of ‘easy squeezy smooth’ jams. They have no artificial colours, flavours, or sweeteners and come in three different flavours – Strawberry & Summer Fruits, Apple & Blackcurrant and Orange.
The children loved rolling out the pastry and got flour everywhere! The squeezy Fruit Shoot jams were really easy to use and they had fun squeezing them into the pastry cases. They made a couple using each flavour and then decided to mix it up by squeezing a dollop of the three jams together! They looked quite colourful.
We baked these in the oven for 20 minutes and then left them to cool down. They were pretty tasty and Big Brother finished them off quite quickly and wants to make more which is always a good sign.
We’ve also tried the Fruit Shoot jams in good old jam sandwiches and also over ice-cream.
We were sent the Fruit Shoot jams and some other goodies to help us through the Summer holidays. Fruit Shoot squeezy jams are coming to Asda, Budgens, Londis and Tesco this summer, RRP £1.59 each.

Thanks for linking up with Monday Parenting Pin It Party x
