    I’ve drunk too much wine :)

    Today I’ve been mainly sleeping. Two weeks of worrying about how to get to and from work safely have taken their toll and I’m absolutely knackered. I’ve been thinking how nice it would be to be a Victorian lady. I would wear lovely clothes, a corset and have strange hair dos. More importantly, I’d be so well off I wouldn’t need to go to work in the City, I wouldn’t need to get the tube either, ever. I would spend my days having my friends round for tea in the morning, and in the afternoon I would do fancy embroidery…

    Another day of learning to live in the new London. I should explain my selfish reasons for wanting a blog. It’s because I don’t want my life to be reduced to a photograph in the Evening Standard or at the end of the evening News because I’m not here anymore. I’m a person, not a great one, but still, I have a boyfriend, family, friends and hopes, dreams and aspirations. If anything happens I want to be remembered.     My name is gingerbreadhouse, I work in the City for the best known NGO in the world and I live in leafy Norf London with my boyfriend. I’m obsessed with News 24.
