Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me smile in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. Five Happy Things {Week 34/2025} We spent last week on our summer holiday. We spent half a day in the pretty city of Trier exploring the many Roman ruins of Germanys oldest city, known to the Romans as Augusta Treverorum. We’ve just returned from a road trip around France, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg. Our trip included a few days with Eurocamp in Wirfttal, Germany. The site is very pretty as the park is in the Eifel National Park in the North Rhine-Westphalia region. We went swimming, played mini golf, explored the local area – as well as ate schnitzel, apple strudel and drank German beer. Our trip to Eurocamp at Wirfttal, Stadtkyll, Germany We picked to stay at Wirfttal, Stadtkyll because we had previous enjoyed our time at Eurocamp in the Netherlands at Duinrell. The sites are always very family-friendly…

It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me smile in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. Five Happy Things {Week 33/2025} My husband and I love going to the theatre and booked last minute tickets to watch The Book of Mormon at The Prince of Wales Theatre in London. It’s the best way to control exactly what goes into every bite — no additives, no unnecessary sugars, just simple, wholesome ingredients. Homemade food also allows you to tailor…

It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me smile in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. Five Happy Things {Week 32/2025} My daughter and I had a day in London where we visited the Jellycat concession in Selfridges. We both love Jellycat and I bought Amuseables Ginger, which I’ve been after for a while. We didn’t manage to book tickets for the Fish and Chips by Jellycat at Selfridges…
