    [Review] Personalised Peppa Pig book

When I was offered a personalised book from Penwizard I knew immediately what I wanted. I had heard of the company before and knew they offered personalised Peppa Pig books – perfect for my 20 month old! Both my children love Peppa Pig but Little Sis loves her more than anything. She has a collection of plush toys which she can’t possibly sleep without, as well as Peppa themed clothes, cups and plates. Anyway, Penwizard give you multiple options for choosing your personalised books through their website. They had a couple of Peppa Pig books so I chose the most…

    The Charcoal Challenge

I do love the weekend and a quiet couple of days at home. We didn’t have much to do apart from take bags of goodies to our local charity shop and take my new car for a drive. I can’t tell you how strange I’m finding being able to drive legally. The weather has finally been a little cooler so we thought it would be perfect for a barbecue. It was actually a relief to cover up and wear a cardigan which shows how old I am 🙂  Anyway, we fired up the barbecue and got cooking as nothing says…

    More reluctant potty training

I’m definitely feeling that life is on the change again. We’ve moved house, have settled into our new area of very quiet suburbia (only shattered by our family – naturally!) and are very happily finding our feet. The toddler has been to look at his new school which is LOVELY and I’ve been to a parents meeting. In a couple of weeks we’ll start a new routine. I know it’s only five afternoons a week but that’s a big change for our little threesome. We do have a couple of major things to do before then. Like potty train. You…

    Win with Duracell

It seems that I’m not alone in having a bucket list. Apparently over half of the UK has a bucket-list of lifelong goals, whether it’s to row across the ocean or simply learn how to cook dinner for two without setting the kitchen on fire! However, as I well know, chasing those goals isn’t always so easy. To better understand what powers the people of the UK to pursue their dreams, Duracell carried out a nationwide survey – discovering that only 4% of Brits have achieved their bucket-list goals. Money (71%), time (44%) and motivation (19%) are cited as the…

The Britax Affinity and i-size car seat regulations

I seem to be getting lots of people finding my little blog searching for ‘Britax Affinity‘ which I’ve been using as part of my role as a Britax Mumbassador. I’m pleased to say we’ve been using it everywhere and I absolutely love it! Although I find it a little large compared to our old pushchair it’s similar in style to our old Bugaboo Chameleon. Little Sis finds it very comfortable and its even made the toddler regress to wanting to sit in it! After a couple of months of using it it seems that my initial thoughts have stayed pretty…

    Water fun with Playmobil

My children love water play and there’s no doubt this is the perfect weather for it. Amongst their outdoor toys they have a much-loved water table and the paddling pool has been out for a while too. The bath is also full of toys for splashy bath time fun when the weather keeps us indoors. The toddler has a Playmobil speedboat which he particularly loves. A couple of months ago we were chosen to be Playmobil Playologists and we recently received a small toy set (Playmobil 6781) called the 123 Wading set. It is for ages 18 months and up…

The book is aimed at 7 years and over and helps  explore the different areas of knitting through four chapters. Summer Love Books Exchange: Aliens love Underpants

We recently took part in the 2013 Summer Love Books Exchange organised by The Educators’ Spin On It. We had never taken part in a book exchange before but I thought it was a great way of discovering new books, crafts and blogs.   We were paired up with Hannah from makingboysmen.com as our children are of a similar age. There are lots of books I would recommend to other people but we finally decided on Up and Down by Oliver Jeffers. The book features a boy and a penguin and has a central theme of friendship and adventure. I…

    Lots of family fun

We’re having a super busy week. On Monday we had a fun family day out at Legoland. Both children loved it and the amazing weather we’re finally enjoying in London definitely helped. On Tuesday we visited the toddlers’ new school and I attended my first parent’s meeting! For the last couple of days we’ve been enjoying the beautiful countryside and staying with my mother. I bravely took the children on the train on my own and I have never seen my children so excited or happy as on that train journey. Today we were joined by my husband before we…
