    Crafting with Aquabeads

This week we have been crafting with aquabeads. You may remember we tried Aquabeads last year and we were keen to try them again with Big Brother being a little older. Aquabeads join together with just a spray of water. We received the Aquabeads Alpha Set which contained over 500 beads in eight different colours, and eight letter stands.  We also received the Aquabeads tray and sprayer to review. My 5 year old knew exactly what to do and couldn’t wait to get started. The set contained a handy letter sheet which you place beneath the tray, then you place…

Win 1 of 2 Limited Edition Philips Avent bottle sets

Have you been bitten by Royal baby fever yet? I’m sure it hasn’t escaped your notice that the Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth any day. In preparation, Philips Avent took ‘Charles’ and ‘Camilla’ out around London to ensure they had everything for the Royal Baby. They went shopping in Mothercare and Hamleys, as well as stopping by the Lindo Wing to ensure everything was in order. These photos really made me smile.       Philips Avent have made their products in the UK since 1984, celebrating their 30th Anniversary last year. Avent founder, Edward Atkin, launched…

    Hand stamped silver

Earlier this year I attended a Hand Stamped Jewellery workshop at the London Jewellery School. The workshop was a gift from my husband who knew I wanted to try something new. The London Jewellery School is over in Whitechapel so I basically hopped on the tube and read my Kindle until I reached the other end of the line. The Hand Stamped Jewellery workshop was a beginners class and a great introduction to working with silver. Class numbers were kept really small and everyone was really friendly. We all had the chance to make a piece completely from scratch using…

    Monday happy things

My favourite post of the week time – my Monday happy things! We had a quiet weekend as the children were poorly but that meant we had time to make them a mud kitchen! I can’t decide whether to paint it or not but it just needs a few more items to finish it off. I sent and received a mini quilt as part of a swap. Making mini quilts is one of my favourite things and it was fun to make something for someone else (rather than my daughter) for a change. As part of my swap package I…
