One thing I love about crafting with my children is the chance to try new craft activities with them. They are always keen to try anything and were pretty excited about a parcel of coloured sand products we received from Baker Ross. We received 6 bottles of Fluorescent Coloured Sand, plastic animal sand art bottles and sand picture sheets. First we made the Animal Sand Art bottles. My 3 year old loves to dress up as her favourite princess so was pretty happy to be sent the new Frozen Colour Changing Necklace to review. What is a fairy garden? It’s a miniature garden for fairies to live in. My 3 year loves Tinkerbell and after we had watched Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue we were inspired to make our own together. Since then we’ve made a couple, both temporary houses indoor and a few permanent fairy houses outside. I’ve had lots of luck charity shopping recently as my daughter and I found some boxed Sylvanian Families sets. We snapped them up and she’s been playing with them ever since. We found Madeline’s Boutique and Highfields Barn but her favourite is Madeline’s Boutique as she loves to shop and pink is her favourite colour! Did you know it’s Scrabble Week? This May over 6,500 new playable Scrabble words join the Collins Official Scrabble Wordlist. To celebrate the biggest update in 4 years, Collins are hosting Scrabble Week which runs from May 21-28 2015. I love playing Scrabble and crafting with my vintage Scrabble tiles. I like to have a few sewing projects on the go. Top of my list is just about any of the projects from Hearty Good Wishes, a beautiful craft book of coastal quilts from Janet Clare. One of my favourite things about being a parent is the chance to explore toys the second time around. I’m a huge advocate of learning through play and I love to see my children enjoy toys that I also played with. Some toys are classics like Lego and Playmobil and I love to plan how I can use these toys when my children no longer want them. Goodness me the weeks are going by so quickly. Thankfully my Monday Happy Things post is here to remind me of all the fun things we got up to the previous week. Yesterday my daughter and I spent the day in London. We visited the Museum of Childhood to see Small Stories: At Home in a Dolls’ House. I love dolls houses and this was a beautiful exhibition covering the small stories of 12 dolls’ houses from the past 300 years.
