    Royal Wedding craft stick union flag craft

    We’re looking forward to the Royal Wedding next week. I’m not sure if we’re going to stay in to watch it on the television but the children are super excited for their Royal Wedding activities at school. I’ve already written a post on Royal Wedding crafts for children. It’s proving very popular and has been my most popular post for the last few weeks. I love that people like our Royal Wedding craft activities for children and we managed to make one more Royal Wedding craft for kids to make – a craft stick union flag which would also be…

    Lego Jurassic World Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape set

    My 6 year old adores dinosaurs. She always has and has been so happy at school this term as they’ve been studying dinosaurs. She has a great collection of dinosaur books, dinosaur toys and we’ve just added dinosaur clothes too. Have you seen the new Jurassic World clothing range at H&M? Sadly they were only in the boys section but my daughter didn’t care. But come on H&M – girls love dinosaurs too! She’s worn her new Jurassic World trousers practically every day! We also have some of the new Jurassic World Pez for our Pez collection. She loves watching…

    The Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden Aerodrome

    Today we visited Old Warden Aerodrome in Bedfordshire for the MayFly, an annual event organised by ModelAir. My husband builds and flies model planes and this is an annual event we never miss. MayFly at Old Warden The MayFly is held at the Old Warden Aerodrome in Old Warden, Bedfordshire, just off the A1 at Biggleswade. Originally the home, gardens and vintage aircraft and vehicle collection of the Shuttleworth family, it is now known as The Shuttleworth Collection. As well as The Collection, there is also a large airfield, a Swiss Garden, children’s play area, cafe and gift shop. When we arrived…

    Win a Surprise Squishy Box from Squishy Kiosk

    Have you succumbed to the new craze for squishies? My 8 year old absolutely loves the feel of them so was delighted to be sent an assortment of squishies from Squishy Kiosk. Squishies are amazing soft toys made from foam materials that children can’t help but squish! They remind me of the stress balls we used to receive from salespeople at conferences. Squishies are the ultimate slow rising foam toy. Simply squeeze them, then watch them transform as they slowly rise! Squishy Kiosk sent us some of their newest squishies. They also produce the fabulous Kawaii Box which I’ve collaborated on with them before.…

    Tissue paper unicorn horn craft

    I’m sure it can’t have escaped your attention that everyone is obsessed with unicorns. I admit that we love unicorns too, I’ve even been drinking out of a unicorn mug for the last few months. We’ve made a few unicorn crafts, such as our unicorn painted rocks,  but there’s always room for more. I’ve been thinking about making a colourful unicorn horn for a while and when we received our latest box of Bostik Bloggers craft supplies I knew we had everything we needed to make it. Tissue paper unicorn horn craft First I drew the outline of a unicorn…

    How to fly like an elephant by Kyoko Nemoto

    It feels like it’s been a while since I shared a really good childrens’ book with you. Both my children are bookworms. We still visit our local library every few weeks but it’s also really lovely to be sent a book to review. Recently the V&A has collaborated with Puffin on some fun picture books. The partnership brings the museum alive through innovative activity books and we are so excited to be telling you about How to fly like an elephant by Kyoko Nemoto. How to fly like an elephant by Kyoko Nemoto EVERYONE knows that elephants can’t fly. They’re TOO…

    Sylvanian Families Maple Cat Family

    My 6 year old loves her Sylvanian Families toys. Have you heard of these before? They are sweet little animal characters with charming and beautiful homes, furniture and accessories. They live, work and play in Sylvania which was apparently based on a 1950s fictional British village. This year a Town setting was introduced to the range. This exciting urban destination lets the characters visit on a special ‘day out’. It’s also where the ‘older sister’ characters work – doing their dream jobs. We’ve already told you about Stella the Chocolate Rabbit sister, who is one of the older sisters who works…

    Sheringham to Holt {North Norfolk Railway}

    We love a heritage railway and on our recent trip to North Norfolk managed to ride on the North Norfolk Railway, which goes from the pretty seaside town of Sheringham to Holt. Sheringham to Holt {North Norfolk Railway} The North Norfolk Railway offers a 10.5 mile round trip by steam train (there are vintage diesel trains on some journeys) through an area of North Norfolk designated as being of outstanding natural beauty. We didn’t have great weather during our holiday but it didn’t stop us wanting to go on the steam train. We arrived at Sheringham and took the first…

    Summer activities for kids – painted rocks

    We’re huge fans of painting and hiding rocks. Over the Bank Holiday weekend we hid a lot of painted rocks. Both my children have been decorating a lot so recently I varnished everything so we could take them out with us whilst we were away. I think that painted rocks make a great low-cost activity that will keep any child busy over the holidays. What equipment do you need to decorate painted rocks? Making and decorating painted rocks is relatively low-cost but you will need to invest in a few thing. We buy bags of smooth rocks from the garden centre.…
