I don’t work during school holidays so wanted to have a little project to make. I have quite a few craft kits so didn’t know which one to pick. Thankfully the latest issue of Mollie Makes landed with a very cute cover craft kit. Regular readers will know that every month I challenge myself to make the Mollie Makes magazine cover gift. I’ve subscribed since it first came out and have had a drawer full of unopened kits – but no more! I’ve been making more time for grown up crafting and I love to make the kits and hopefully try something new.…

I love having a few crafty activities to do with the children over half term. We try to vary the activities we have so no-one gets bored and have been spending a lot of time outdoors, as well as crafting, reading and playing games indoors. Both my children love collecting erasers so I was pleased to bring out the Pretty Pixels Eraser Maker Deluxe Pack, which lets you create your own erasers, to try out at home with them. Pretty Pixels Eraser Maker Deluxe Pack My children loved the look of this set as soon as they saw it and…

Monday morning again. Hope you had a great weekend whatever you got up to. I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Five Happy Things {Week 228} How did you celebrate Valentine’s Day? We gave each other cards and little chocolate treats. After school I set up a little mini gingerbread house decorating station. Did you watch the Great British Sewing Bee on Tuesday evening? I attempted to watch it, but I was interrupted so many times by my children that I gave up. I will watch it again when they are both out! I’ve always loved sewing so have been looking forward to reading Threads of Life: A History of the World Through the Eye of a Needle by Clare Hunter( I got my copy via NetGalley). I love celebrating St Patricks’ Day. It’s such a lovely, colourful celebration after the drab months of Winter. As we walked to karate this evening we were all amazed by the colours in the sky. It was so lovely to walk in the twilight and we’re counting down the days until the clocks spring forward next month. After the success of our Nativity lacing paper plate craft we are back with another lacing craft. These are great for honing those fine motor skills and who doesn’t love a rainbow too! Pot of Gold paper plate lacing craft supplies: Paper plate…
