Nerf N-Strike Surgefire from Hasbro review

My son absolutely loves his Nerf blasters. He has quite a few now and I think they’re a really fun toy. Of course we gave it a lot of thought about whether Nerf was appropriate for our children. I’m pleased to say it’s one of their favourite toy brands.

We have a few other Nerf blasters and my children really enjoy blasting each other (and me) with the foam bullets. The Nerf N-Strike Elite SurgeFire blaster is the latest in the range and my son was delighted to try it out.

Slam the competition with a surge of Elite darts from the Nerf N-Strike Elite SurgeFire blaster! This N-Strike Elite blaster has plenty of firepower on hand to keep blasting opponents! The SurgeFire blaster has a rotating drum that holds 15 darts. Players can choose a target and blast 1 dart a time, or slam-fire all 15 darts rapidly to pour on the firepower. This pump-action blaster launches darts up to 90 feet (27 metres), so surge into battle and take control of the action!

This was really fun to open and so easy to put together. It came in only two parts – the blaster and the rotating drum. Once they were slotted together it was easy to insert the foam darts. I love the fact this toy doesn’t require any batteries – you only need to hold the grip and pump to fire. You can see more in our unboxing video, we also added a section at the end in slow motion!

This latest Nerf blaster is a really fun toy for kids. I may be finding foam darts all over the house and garden but I think it’s a good toy for energetic kids, especially at this time of year when they seem to have so much energy and can be stuck indoors due to the weather.

The Nerf N-Strike Elite SurgeFire costs around £24.99 and is available from all good toy shops.
