I started my blog back in 2005 and since then have used it to post about my hobbies and life. I quite like reading back through it and seeing how my interests have changed. When I started blogging I would record progress with my family history research but one day I discovered sewing and crafty blogs and never looked back. I hope my blog also reflects my personal life, when I changed from a miss to a mrs and later added the title of mummy to that of wife.
I’ve been using my blog header for a while but have recently been thinking about changing it. I love all things gingerbread so it shows my favourite handmade felt gingerbread house (made by me!) and vintage scrabble tiles on my Cath Kidston tablecloth. If you’re a regular reader you’ll know I can’t walk past a charity shop without picking up a bargain and I like to think the header shows my love of handmade and vintage.
I wonder what my blogging future holds for me. I would love to invest more time in sewing and baking but real life sometimes leaves me exhausted. Blogging has brought me some great opportunities and I’ve started to write the odd review and I’ve enjoyed some fun days out. My greatest wish is to improve my writing style, not hide behind my blog and be confident to show a bit more of me!

April 20, 2011 at 9:09 amYour header is very welcoming and looks good enough to eat mmm!
I need to write more posts about what I am feeling. I often start a post and then don’t quite have the confidence to post it on my blog!
Good luck with changing your blog ………if you go through with it of course!

April 20, 2011 at 10:40 amI love Gingerbread Houses, we make them at Christmas. My other half is Norwegian and in Norway the tradition is to smash the whole house down with the back of a knife to break it up and eat it! This is my favourite bit, even though it’s been so much work. Peppekaker Hus is the Norwegian words for Gingerbread house, perhaps google that for some inspiration!

April 20, 2011 at 3:04 pmI like to look back and see how my path changed form where I imagined it would lead, it constantly amazes me that nothing is set in stone.
I’ll look forward to seeing what you come up with for a new header, I like the one you’ve got

April 20, 2011 at 3:20 pmI am loving the scrabble tiles. Blogging involves letters and words put together in new ways so see this as a great image for the Gallery this week.

April 20, 2011 at 5:43 pmWow you have been blogging for such a long time, one of the originals! I am so new in comparison. Already I like looking back at what I have been going on about so it must be fascinating to look back a few years. I hope I still am like you. I also think your header is very unique and personal 🙂 x
