Win a bundle of Mr Men books for Mothers Day

It can’t have escaped your notice that Mother’s Day is coming up soon. I don’t need a special day to remind me how much I love being a mum, although I can’t resist a handmade card and cuddle in bed with my little ones. I always encourage my children to put some effort into the cards and gifts we give so I was really excited to see the new Mr Men My Mummy book. As well as being a laugh out loud book which you would expect from the Mr Men brand, it’s also a lovely story to share with your children, especially as they can personalise it for you!

Read on to find out what we thought of the Mr Men My Mummy, as well as two other Mr Men books from Egmont. There’s even a chance to win these 3 books for yourself!

Mr Men My Mummy

The Little Miss will help you show your mummy just how special she is to you. From making you smile, even when things go wrong, to knowing just when hugs are needed, mummies are SPLENDID, FUN, MAGIC, SUNSHINE – lots of the LITTLE MISS rolled into one! The perfect book for giving and sharing any time you want to say I love you, too.

The book ends with 2 pages of questions which your child can answer, such as “My mummy makes me laugh when …”. Now my 5 year old is only just starting to write in Reception but she really wanted to fill the answers in.

We had a good giggle over the questions and she carefully wrote her answers. My favourite Q&A is “My mummy is very kind because… she plays games.” At least I now know how to make my daughter happy. There is even space for your child to draw a picture of you. This is a lovely book and the kind of thing I will keep in our memory box, once it has stopped being read.

This week we’ve also been enjoying Mr Men Adventure with Dinosaurs. My daughter loves dinosaurs so this is a great story for her. In the book Little Miss Curious find a very large footprint which she sets off to discover more about with the help of her friends.

The Mr Men Search and Find Activity Book has been keeping both my children quiet for hours. They both love this kind of book so have been totally absorbed in Nonsenseland, trying to find their favourite Mr Men characters hiding in the pages.

  47. I had Mr Bump as my peg in nursery (everyone had a Mr Men or Little Miss character at their peg) so Mr Bump has always been my favourite, and it was quite telling for the future as I am very very clumsy! :’)
