Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. Each week I start off by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.
Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things
Last week was super busy with some kind of party every day. December is such a busy month for parents and I really felt like it was some kind of test to see if I could remember who needed party clothes, or a DVD, or a board game, and on which day. Luckily I remembered everything and the children really enjoyed their Christmas plays and parties. My daughter came home with a trophy from Football Club too, which made her day.
We managed to squeeze in some Christmas crafting too. The children insisted on covering the gingerbread house we made with icing sugar, we put together some paper gingerbread houses and finished off our homemade finger print tree decorations.
I was very happy to finish work on Friday, early enough to pick up my children from school. Then we had a mad dash to visit family in Devon. The weather was amazing on Saturday and we spent the day in Teignmouth where the children spent their pennies in the arcade and then played on the beach.
My Winter Craftpod arrived and I’ve already had a sneaky peek. It’s my favourite subscription box so I am hoping for some quiet crafting time over the next few weeks. I’ve piled up the crafts I want to make over the Christmas holidays. Hopefully we’ll have some downtime during the Christmas madness so I can keep my hands busy with stitching and paper cutting.
I am hoping to switch off for a few days over Christmas, so I am signing off and wishing you a very Happy Christmas!
