Family Life Monday Happy List

Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I love starting off each week by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.

Monday mindfulness – 5 Happy Things

We started off the week with a horse riding session with Beaver Scouts. I’m a Section Assistant at Beavers which is loads of fun. I really enjoyed our time at the stables and watching everyone try something new. My daughter wasn’t sure if she wanted to sit on a horse but I guess she got caught up in the moment and before she knew it she was going off for a ride on one. I love that Beavers gives her the opportunity to try new things.

Did you watch the Royal Wedding on Saturday? We went shopping but I managed to watch the important bits on my iPhone whilst we were having lunch at Wagamama. My husband wanted some new clothes so we spent the day at the shopping centre. It was lovely and quiet as it felt like everyone was staying home to watch it.

I have the Royal Wedding to thank for my biggest spike in traffic ever! I wrote quite a few blog posts with Royal Wedding craft ideas and some of the posts went viral last week. We had a great time with our Royal crafts and I love the fact that others may have found our posts useful too.

I spent yesterday learning basic First Aid (as part of my Beaver Scouts training). It was quite nice to learn something new although I couldn’t help but think of my family enjoying the lovely sunshine. They were actually out buying a tent as we are all going on our first District Family Camp next month. We have the biggest tent I’ve ever seen and I’m getting quite excited at the thought of a weekend sleeping under the stars.

You may remember that one of my goals for the year was to re-stock my Etsy shop and I made a little sale last week. I sell vintage treasures in my Etsy shop and although it’s not something I invest a lot of time in, it’s always nice to make a sale. Take a look if you need any vintage game supplies to craft with!

Have a great week everyone.

I should really do first aid training too. I keep meaning to sign up for the St. John’s Ambulance course but never quite get round to it.

I loved watching the Royal Wedding, she was stunning, and Prince Harry too. I imagine the shops were empty, a good time to go shopping. 🙂
