Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I love starting off each week by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.
Monday mindfulness – 5 Happy Things
It was a busy week for me as my son was off school for 3 days. So I didn’t have as much time as normal to get things done with him around. We started the week with my 8 year old swimming up from Beavers to Cubs. I can’t believe he’s had 2 happy years at Beavers but he’s ready to move up and try something new. The programme looks so exciting and I know he’s going to have a great time.
I completed my Lego Minifigure Series 18 Party set. It’s definitely the small things which make me happy. Our local toy shop kindly offered to find me the Policeman which is the rare figure in each box. We popped in during the week and they had found it for us. My son made a lego display for them to stand on and I love them. Apparently the next series will be a Harry Potter one, I really hope it is.
I love to try new crafts and had fun screen printing at home. I was sent a screen printing kit from Screen Sensation and it contained everything needed to screen print at home. I was surprised how easy it was and the results were brilliant. I think there will be some hand made gifts coming up very soon.
We celebrated Star Wars Day on May 4th. We were very kindly gifted the Star Wars Jedi Challenges from Lenovo and we’ve had so much fun with the headsets. We’ve never really tried AR at home but it’s so much fun!
The weather has been amazing for the Bank Holiday weekend and we’ve been exploring bits of Wiltshire and Dorset. Yesterday we visited the Tank Museum at Bovington which we all really enjoyed. The weather has been so sunny and warm and the scenery was beautiful. I’m not ashamed to admit I made my husband stop by the side of a field of rapeseed for a photo!
Hope you have a great week!
