Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things

Posted on December 18, 2017December 26, 2017 by jenny

Morning everyone. Time for my weekly post called Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things from the previous week.

It was such a busy week with work, Christmas performances and parties. It all felt a little crazy busy until my poor daughter came down with a bug and everything slowed down. Fortunately she was able to take part in her Christmas play, and watched her brother perform too. She’s great company so it was actually really nice to spend a few quiet days at home, watching our favourite films.

Last week I was notified that I made the Vuelio Top 10 Craft blogs in 2017. This was so exciting for me as I love to make things, both for myself and with my children. I’ve set myself a little challenge to make more in 2018 and I’ll be updating you along the way.

On Saturday we all went along to watch Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi – all wearing our favourite Star Wars clothes. It was a great film and I was super proud of my 6 year old for sitting through it. She loved the porgs!

Yesterday we visited our local Farmer’s Market to stock up on Christmas treats. It’s a lovely market and we bought Tablet, Mulled Cider and delicious cakes. It all felt a little over indulgent but we’re going away on Boxing Day so we’re trying to enjoy the run up to Christmas.

I’m so happy that the presents are all bought, the cards have been sent and we’ve shopped for all our food and drink too. I’m looking forward to a few evenings wrapping gifts and relaxing. My husband finishes work on Tuesday and the children and I both finish on Wednesday. We’ve planned a few things to keep us busy whilst we enjoy the festive season.

How fun to all see Stars Wars together. And what a relief to be ready for Christmas. I have WAY TOO MUCH to do still. Uh oh!
