Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.
Monday Happy Things {Week 412}
I can’t believe the last week of the school holidays is over and my children went back to school this morning. We spent last week camping at Parkdean Resort Thorness Bay on the Isle of Wight and visited some of our favourite places and went crabbing in the rock pools.
I treated myself to the latest Hoop Club subscription box (Box 24) which arrived whilst we were away. I’m always up for trying something new and loved the look of the tapestry project with gorgeous wool thread. Designed by Eva Verbruggen the kit contains satin stitch, basket stitch and french knots.
My son was so happy to find out that Festergrimm was published last week, this is the latest in the Eerie on Sea series by Thomas Taylor which my son loves. We love to share a book and have already started reading this each night.
Whilst we were away we went beachcombing as my daughter loves to look for ‘treasure’. I was able to book us on a Hands on History: Bermondsey Foreshore Walk organised by the Thames Festival Trust over the weekend. We were able to go on a guided walk along the Thames foreshore and learn more about the history of the area. We found lots of animal bones, broken pipes, and nails from all the ships which had been broken up there.

September 6, 2022 at 3:08 amMy favorite day of the week is Monday. I occasionally find the weekends to be boring and wish the new week would begin with fresh activities. I’m actually running out of places to go with the kids. The following vacation, I might take them camping at Parkdean Resort Thorness Bay on the Isle of Wight. It seems like a lovely location to visit. I think they’ll adore it.

September 6, 2022 at 12:14 pmThat is a really lovely idea. I used to keep a reflection journal every day but I kept forgetting to update it; once a week sounds more manageable.

September 6, 2022 at 2:17 pmThe Happy list idea is a great way for us all to sit and think about what makes us happy. Crabbing sounds like fun. I bet you caught loads.

September 6, 2022 at 3:35 pmI have heard that the shores of the Thames are hiding a lot of things. I’d love to go on a similar tour. I’ll check out when the next one is 🙂
