Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 409}

Cotton Clara cross stitch

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

Monday Happy Things {Week 409}

We’ve had another heat wave which has been a bit much for us all. It’s so difficult to do anything, even the dog is fed up with all the sun! Thankfully it looks like the weather will cool down a little this week – we may even get some much needed rain!

My daughter finished the Summer Reading Challenge all ready. For some reasons it’s now only 4 visits instead of the 6 it used to be. She was a bit disappointed to have finished the challenge so early in the school holidays but she has plenty of books on her wish list to keep her reading.

I managed to finish reading Femina by Janina Ramirez which I really enjoyed. I’ve already started The Hidden Palace by Dinah Jefferies which I can’t put down. It’s partly set in Malta and I really want to go and visit.

I’ve been stitching the sweet little gingerbread house cross stitch from Cotton Clara. I wanted something a little different after my last make, which was a felt pincushion. I don’t usually like cross stitch but I can’t resist a little house.

    It is been quite some time that Monday are so blue. On the other hand, I like the idea of writing the things that I would appreciate, and recording the things sounds like a great idea. Thank you for the inspiration.
