Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 407}

Summer Craftpod

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

Monday Happy Things {Week 407}

My son returned from a week-long Scout camp. He did a 2 day hike, cycling, coasteering, fishing, crabbing, swimming in the sea, go-karting, and had an amazing time. It was strange without him as its the longest time he’s ever been away but I’m glad he had such a good time with his friends.

My daughter spent the week at Iver Environment Centre which she really enjoyed. She learned lots about the environment and was busy with wide games and hide and seek. She always enjoys spending time there. She also had time to read a few books and completed the first week of the Summer Reading Challenge. We took my daughter to watch DC League of Super-Pets at the cinema as she loves dogs.

I loved watching Netflix’s new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion. It’s been getting some bad reviews but I adored it. It was a fun adaptation, think Bridgerton meets Fleabag. I loved Dakota Johnson as Anne Elliot and the story has been modernised with a more diverse cast and updated dialogue. It was fun and faithful to Jane Austen’s novel and I loved it.

I had some high hopes for some crafting over the weekend. I’ve started stitching the pin cushion from the Summer Craftpod box. I’m not really stitching the Cottage Garden Huswif  kit I started a few weeks ago. It’s looking like this might get relegated back to the WIP pile for another year.

    Sounds like your son had a great time away. I did start watching Persuasion, and could not really get into it. But I do want to try again as it does seem like my kind of series
