Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

Monday Happy Things {Week 403}

Yesterday I finished stitching The Summer Sampler mini quilt from Pretty Fabrics and Trims. There was a lot of hand quilting and stitching 🙂 It was a fun project and I learned a lot from the quilting of it. I have a few other kits which I’ve got out to start next.

My kids have been playing Sneaky Sasquatch for a while and we decided to make some Sneaky Sasquatch cookies. We made a batch of chocolate cookies then decorated them with icing to make the sneaky sasquatch. They tasted yummy and were fun to make too.

My kids were busy with their scouting activities over the weekend. My son enjoyed an evening hike with his Scout group. My daughter took part in her Cubs sports day. They have so much fun with their scouting activities.

I finished reading Miss Buncle Married by D E Stevenson. I really enjoyed reading it, almost as much as the first book in the series. I’ve bought the third book in the series which I’m looking forward to reading.

Over the weekend we went and watched Minions: The Rise of Gru. We’ve always loved the minions and we’ve been waiting for this film to come out for a while. It was very funny and definitely worth watching.
