Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 401}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. I was really tired after our amazing half term adventures so most of last week was a bit of a blur.

Monday Happy Things {Week 401}

The hot weather last week was exhausting so it didn’t feel like we did much. My daughter had daily swimming lessons on top of all her normal activities and it just felt like a really busy week. I’m hoping next week will be a little quieter and I can read more of my latest books from Persephone Books.

I completed the Platinum Jubilee embroidery hoop from one of my sub boxes. I also finished a little experimental hoop based on a photo I took. I transferred the image to some fabric and stitched it. The hoop turned out well and I have a few more hoops I would like to stitch.

We were invited to watch Back to The Future The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre and had a great day in London. We also had time to visit the London Mithraeum in the morning which was a bit different.

Last week I used my new Ninja Air Fryer a lot. It saved so much time cooking and we’ve been enjoying seeing what we can cook (and what doesn’t turn out so well). We made a brilliant cooked breakfast – our favourite way to start the weekend!

I made a really delicious elderflower sponge cake, using elderflower cordial we made ourselves. The elderflower season lasts about 6 weeks and we always pick some to take home. It was refreshing and tasted really good.

    I was away last week in scorching temperatures, I am very jealous of the air fryer as it is something I really want, and then when I look at them, I get confused by what size I really need to what size I think I need.

      There are far too many options, the one we have is great for a family though.

    I am going to see Back to the Future the musical in September and I am looking forward to it. I have heard so many great things about it. I love the hot weather, but I didn’t get to enjoy it for long as I was away on a work trip until Tuesday.

    Back to the future is so good isn’t it?! I went for my birthday earlier this year and loved it. I totally agree about the weather as well, it’s been too hot! x

    Isn’t air frying the best? I love how it allows you to cut down on oil and cooking time. Glad you had a good time in London, I loved my time there.
