Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.
Monday Happy Things {Week 390}
My daughter was so happy to reach the next level with her karate lessons. It’s been three years since her last grading, thanks to covid. It was really lovely to see her be awarded her new belt, definitely a reward for being so patient.
I finished reading The Little Flower Shop by the Sea by Ali McNamara. It was a gift from my mum and I couldn’t put it down. Sometimes I just want to read something light hearted and easy, and this ticked all those boxes.
I also managed to finish off the Bridgerton inspired floral hoop I had been working on recently. It was really fun to stitch and I liked the fact I got to improve some of my stitches by taking the class. I enjoy online classes so will be looking out for some more.
For my birthday I received both the Spring 2022 Craftpod and a new Cotton Clara embroidery kit. I’m not sure which one to start first. I did start cutting out one of the felt projects from the Craftpod box …. With the Easter holidays ahead of us I’m not really sure how much time I’ll have to sew. My daughter has been re-watching all the Harry Potter films and it has been lovely to relax in the evenings and watch a film.
We managed to squeeze in a trip to the climbing centre over the weekend. My daughter just loves climbing and bouldering and wants to go all the time. Thankfully we have a climbing centre nearby so we took her for an hour session which she loved. Unfortunately my son couldn’t go as he broke his wrist at school last week!

April 12, 2022 at 10:30 amI’ve tried climbing before, but I’m not that confident on it that I don’ think it’s quite for me haha. Hope you manage to get plenty of stitching and fun projects done over the Easter Holidays x
