Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.
Monday Happy Things {Week 382}
We had our first trip to the cinema in months to watch Spiderman No Way Home. It was a really fun film (if a little confusing in places!). It felt good to be back at the cinema and it looks like there are lots of great films coming out this year.
Last week I stitched the super cute robin hoop embroidery from Love Embroidery. It came out a few weeks ago and I really wanted to stitch it before Spring arrives. It was fun to stitch and I’m already thinking what to stitch next. I’ve cut back on my blogging since I returned to work full time and I’m enjoying planning how to spend my evenings.
I loved reading The Helsingor Sewing Club by Ella Gyland and finished it over the weekend. I love historical fiction and enjoyed discovering more about the role of Denmark in helping Danish Jews escape to Sweden during the Second World War. That was only the second book I’ve read this year but I’m still pretty hopeful I’ll achieve my Goodreads target of 48 books in 2022.
We had a gorgeous meal at Metro Italiano in Ruislip. Although we regularly get a weekend takeaway it felt good to go out to eat. The kids were really well behaved and it’s so lovely to see our high street busy and back to life.

February 10, 2022 at 1:55 pmI loved the Spiderman movie, so glad you got to see it at the cinema. I don’t live too far from Ruislip but I’ve not heard of that Italian so I may need to look into it x
