Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 380}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy Things {Week 380}

I have lots of leftover mincemeat (still!) so made some mince pie shortbread last week. It tasted amazing and didn’t last long. I’m tempted to make more.

Over the weekend we went over to Walthamstow to visit God’s Own Junkyard which has been on our list for ages. It’s an amazing emporium of vintage and modern neon lights, as well as a cafe/bar. It was such a fun place to enjoy lunch surrounded by lots of colourful art.

Finished some handmade gifts for Valentine’s Day next month. I started on the Winter Craftpod 2021 box and Box 17 from Cotton Clara Hoop Club arrived so I have lots of things to stitch and make. I’ve been making much more time to stitch since starting my new job, I really don’t feel like opening my laptop after staring at my screen all day.

We’ve been watching The Witcher on Netflix which is perfect entertainment whilst stitching. So far we’re on episode 4 and I’m quite enjoying a different genre to what we usually watch.

Have a great week.

    I have never heard of Gods Own Junkyard but sounds like a great place to visit, will have to see about going with my grandkids, as we all love a day out somewhere different

    Love using leftovers! Great idea for shortbread. I too have been making sure I get my crafting time in lately.
