Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 371}

Gingerbread Jumpers from Wentworth Puzzles

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy Things {Week 371}

I survived my first week in my new job. I work in a lovely team and it looks like I will be working on some exciting projects.

We had a busy weekend and went to watch the new Ghostbusters Afterlife at the cinema. We thought it was a great film about a single mother and her two children who move to a new town and soon discover they have a connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

The kids loved it and it had lots of nods back to the original films which we loved when we were kids.

We popped into Uxbridge to see the Christmas lights being turned on. There were fireworks and LED drummers, a Christmas market, brass band, a lady in a snow globe, Snow Lion and Frost Fairies. The kids had a great time and we enjoyed sharing a bag of freshly made donuts to keep us warm.

My daughter loves puzzles and we finished a new one over the weekend. The Gingerbread Jumpers from Wentworth Puzzles combined two festive traditions – the ugly Christmas sweaters, and gingerbread cookies. What do you get if you put them together – edible Christmas jumpers! The puzzle included some special pieces called whimsies which my daughter loved finding.

I managed to squeeze in some sewing time too. I completed the small embroidery hoops from the Autumn Craftpod box but have put the other project away so I can concentrate on some Christmas crafting!

    Sounds like you had a lovely week, I am usually in Uxbridge shopping Christmas week, as friends live there and we meet up for a Christmas drink and last minute shopping

    Wentworth Puzzles always offer the most incredible puzzles don’t they? I love how they hide shapes within them.

    It sounds like you have had a lovely week and it is great you are enjoying your new job, having a great team is such a relief isn’t it. The Christmas light switch on sounds fab too, I was gutted that our local one didn’t happen this year and they turned the lights on via Facebook live, which just isn’t the same. It sounds like you guys had a great time! x
