Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.
Monday Happy Things {Week 363}
Last week was busy. It was only the third week the children had been back at school but it felt like it had been much longer. My son volunteered to be a tour guide at his new school on open evening, and I took my Year 5 daughter to have a look round. Sadly we didn’t end up having tour with my son, but we did enjoy looking round his school. My daughter was able to take part in lots of fun science experiments, and we also got to try fresh pizza and brownies made at school. I was glad we did the open evening this year (like we did for my son) and my daughter is excited about going to secondary school.
Although the weather was gorgeous last week I have made a start on my Autumn crafting! I love Autumn and my daughter keeps coming home with leaves and conkers in her pockets. I whipped up some pretty Liberty pumpkin decorations. It felt like I hadn’t used my Cricut Maker is ages too, so I dusted it off and made some personalised pumpkin decorations for my kids. I bought the wooden blanks from Hobbycraft, painted the lower half of them, and used my Cricut to cut their names from vinyl.
My husband kindly gifted me the new iPhone 13 Pro Max. I loved my old iPhone but this new one takes amazing photos. The weather over the weekend was perfect for taking lots of photos.
My daughter is turning into a bit of a tidy freak and sorted out all her spare rubbers over the weekend. I had no idea she had so many squirreled away. She decided to only keep a few and donate the rest to the charity shop. It took us a while to sort through everything and we ended up with a huge bag of donations. Hopefully they will make someone very happy.
We haven’t eaten out much recently so we treated ourselves to dinner at Pizza Express over the weekend. I wore my favourite Cath Kidston dress – did I mention I am really ready for Autumn?
