New Banksy murals spring up in central London near Barbican

Monday Happy Things {Week 156}

Posted on September 25, 2017April 19, 2020 by jenny

Happy Monday morning everyone! I’d forgotten how quickly the weeks go when the kids are back at school. They’ve both settled into their new years so well and I’ve been really proud of them. I haven’t enjoyed policing the increased amount of homework though and we’ve had to tweak their reward charts to make sure it gets done!

This week I reached 900 subs on YouTube which made me so happy. I love making videos with my children. I have hours of unedited footage which I’m not sure will ever see the light of day, but as long as my kids enjoy making their ‘unboxing’ videos then we’ll keep making them. I’m trying to encourage my son to make his own videos as he likes stop motion. He’s terrible for starting things and never finishing them though.

I’ve been a Netflix ambassador for a few months now and on Wednesday I met the rest of the #NetflixStreamTeam at a really fun event in London. We heard about some new innovations at Netflix, decorated biscuits and I got to mix my own perfume. I walked past the two new Banksy’s at the Barbican on the way back to the tube which was very cool.

I’m hoping you’ve all noticed that I have a lovely new blog header thanks to Emmy Writes About. I fancied a chance and it’s clean and simple. I re-branded all my social channels except for YouTube (it’s my only channel which has a slightly different name).

On Friday I picked up my new iPhone 8 Plus which I’d been looking forward to for ages. I love my Olympus Pen camera but I admit to relying on my iPhone camera a lot of the time. The new iPhone takes really amazing photos, especially using the portrait mode. Hopefully you’ll all notice the difference in the photos I publish here.

Sylvanian Families shop in London

On Saturday we had a brilliant day out visiting the Mail Rail, a special underground railway built by the Post Office, and we finally got to the Sylvanian Families shop in London. I’m thinking I’ll write about both of these places as we had so much fun.

Hope you all have a great week!
