Monday happy things {week 142}

Posted on June 19, 2017 by jenny

I’m not a huge fan of this hot weather we’ve been experiencing. It makes it pretty hard to achieve anything. I’m hoping for a quiet week, especially as last week was so busy. I had a pretty intense week of work with one day off. You can probably guess that my daughter was sick that day! And I’m late writing this weekly post as my son is off sick at home with me today.

Last Monday seems a long time ago now but after school we went on a lovely nature walk around the local Lido with Beavers. It felt strange going on such a long walk after school but it was fun and the children slept *really* well that night.

I finally achieved my Club10 award at Slimming World. I haven’t been focussing as well as I could lately but I was pleased to reach this milestone. It was nice to be able to enjoy a lovely meal out to celebrate at the weekend.

Despite the heatwave we’ve started work on our neglected garden. There is plenty of things for the children to do but not much for us adults. We  moved everything around and it’s made it feel so much bigger. We’re planning on cutting down trees and perhaps make some raised beds for plants. Goodness knows how much this will cost but I’m hoping it will make the garden a nicer place to be. At the moment I open the doors and am greeted by the site of the fence, I want to make it a little more interesting for the eye to see.

My children have received some fun toys to review this week. There has been some of the latest Lego sets and the lovely Secret Island Playhouse from Sylvanian Families. The children have enjoyed making unboxing videos although I’m struggling to find the time to edit all the videos they keep making! I hit 500 subscribers on YouTube today which is a small milestone but one I’m really pleased with as we all love YouTube so much.

My poor daughter went to not one, but two, birthday parties this weekend! It was so hot but she had a great time and enjoyed absolutely everything about them. She’s a real party animal.

Have a great week!

    Isnt it great when they get worn out and sleep really well. I hope the parties tired her out too! Sounds like a fun week. Im the opposite to you though, I LOVE the heat haha – My Daughter maybe not so much. She been stripping all her clothes off today bless

    Well done on getting your Club 10 award! That’s a great achievement. I need to focus on my garden too. It’s way too overgrown and a complete mess. Also congrats on your 500 Youtube subscribers 🙂
