I can’t believe our two week Easter holiday has flown by. Today we are driving back home and the children are back at school tomorrow. However we have been busy planning the Summer holidays which should help get us through the Summer term.
Monday happy things {Week 133}
We started the week with a visit from my sister and niece who stayed with us for a few days. We stayed pretty local, enjoying BBQs in the garden, and a trip to the cinema to see Boss Baby which was very funny. It got us super excited for some films which are coming out later this year – Car 3, Despicable Me 3 and of course Star Wars Episode VIII. The weather was pretty good and we all enjoyed a trip to Eastcote House Gardens and Hillingdon Court Park too.
Despite all the BBQs I somehow lost 4lbs at Slimming World so gained my first stone award!
We had a few days with my mum in Wiltshire and somehow squeezed in quite a lot – the Haynes International Motor Museum, Lytes Cary Manor, a walk in Clanger Wood, Great Chalfield Manor, a walk on Westbury White Horse, as well as numerous pub lunches with family and friends.
The children loved Easter. They had a ton of presents to open and took part in another Easter Egg Hunt – that makes about 4 this Easter!
We took advantage of a babysitter to go to the pub a few times. We’ve actually been to the pub 4 times this week, three times on our own and once with the children (which wasn’t a huge success). This definitely makes up for all the weeks we never go out. Although with all these extra calories, pub lunches and Easter eggs I am dreading Slimming World this week!
