I hope you all had a great weekend. I don’t think we sat down once, it was a busy but fun weekend. Time once again for my weekly Monday Happy Things post.
This week I have been singing along to Faure’s Requiem and Haydn’s Te Deum. Last year I joined a local choir and I am looking forward to performing these two pieces in March.
On Thursday I went to the Hobbycraft Spring/Summer Press Show and came away with lots of inspiration. They had some lovely products and I was able to try my hand at stencilling, came away with a crochet hook and some instructions. I bumped into a friend and it was lovely to go for a coffee and chat about all things blogging. I also managed to squeeze in a visit to the Alice in Wonderland exhibition at the British Library.
I got a hair cut, this is a huge thing for me!
We spent the day in the West End, catching up on exhibitions, eating good food and re-visiting old haunts. I managed to sneak in some shopping at my favourite Orla Kiely store, finally made it to kikki.K, and almost bought my first pair of Uggs. Ugg have partnered with Liberty on a limited edition collection that marries iconic UGG styles with signature prints from Liberty’s archives. I walked past the Ugg shop in Covent Garden and couldn’t resist trying on a pair of the Classic Mini. Sadly they just didn’t feel right so I saved myself some money, they are absolutely gorgeous though!
We’ve managed to watch a few good things this week. I’ve totally binge watched Making a Murderer on Netflix. We’ve also watched The Martian and Bridge of Spies, which were amazing films which have really stayed with me all week. Somehow we’ve found the time to watch a few episodes of The Man in the High Castle too, so we’re clearly having a quiet week.
