Christmas days out swap

Monday happy things – week 64

I have to admit that things have felt a little flat lately after a few busy weekends with friends and family. Not to say it hasn’t been another one of those weeks!

On Tuesday my 4 year old had her Christmas performance at her new nursery. Last year she sat and didn’t join in with anything  so my expectations were low for this year. Fortunately she was really excited about it and joined in with every song. I loved seeing her so happy and surrounded by her new friends.

My 5 year old had his Christmas play on Thursday. They did a traditional Nativity and he was a Donkey, which he didn’t seem to mind at all as it meant they got to sit on the stage and sing all the songs. He looked equally happy during his performance.

I took part in a fun Stationery Lovers Christmas Swap and enjoyed putting a little parcel together for my swap partner.

On Saturday we put our Christmas tree up. We also put up lights on the outside of the house for the first time. The children love to go out for a drive around the neighbourhood at night to see the Christmas lights and now we finally have our own!

I took the children to see The Good Dinosaur yesterday whilst my husband cracked on with some DIY at home. I normally love Pixar films but didn’t like the story as much as some of the others. The children seemed to like it though, dinosaurs are always a good bet it seems!
