I’m sure I’m not the only one finding life exceptionally busy at the moment. In the next couple of weeks I have two birthdays, two weekends away and the school Christmas Fair which I’m helping to organise. It’s time for my weekly Monday happy things post before I face the week.
On Saturday I enjoyed a trip into London for the 4th annual Mumsnet Blogfest. I missed last year but went to the first Blogfest in 2012 and the second one in 2013. I have never hung out on the Mumsnet forums but Blogfest is amazing. It’s more about good writing than blogging but I picked up some great tips, listened to amazing speakers and got to meet up with some of my blogging friends. The goody bag was pretty special too.
Yesterday we spent the day at ZSL London Zoo for an event sponsored by YouTube. They have recently launched the YouTube Kids app which makes it easier for kids to find videos on topics they want to explore. We had a brilliant day out and I will try and write a little more about it later this week.
I received some lovely happy mail in the shape of three ornaments from the handmade ornament swap I recently took part in. They were made by 3 different people and I loved the felt Christmas jumper, and two decorated Christmas tree ornaments.
Waitrose sent me a little gift as a thank you for attending the Waitrose Christmas Dinner the other week. My parcel contained a box of Heston from Waitrose Spiced Shortcrust Mince Pies which we all love. I wondered if it was too early for my first mince pie of the season but decided it wasn’t.
I was named as one of the top 10 UK Craft Blogs by Vuelio which was amazing and pleasing as I sit typing this surrounded by half finished craft projects! I’m ranked alongside some great craft bloggers and I can’t wait to share more of my crafty adventures with you soon.
