Time for my weekly Monday happy things post.
I’m excited to announce that we’ve been chosen as Playmobil Playologists for the 3rd year running. We love Playmobil and are looking forward to sharing our reviews and Playmobil news with you.
My husband treated me to a new Orla Kiely handbag which was my annual wife bonus. I haven’t had a new Orla Kiely handbag for a good few years so had a lovely look at some of her latest collection whilst we were on holiday in Exeter last week. I chose the Big Owl Zip Messenger which features a new print for Autumn/Winter. As you would expect the owl is quite abstract and the bag is lined with orange stem print. It’s a lovely size and I like it a lot.
Regular readers will know I’m a huge fan of Mollie Johanson and her seasonal stitching clubs. She’s just announced the latest #HolidayStitchingClub which will include embroidery, English paper piecing, and a project. Needless to say I signed up straight away. Whilst we were in Exeter I popped into a gorgeous sewing shop called Inspirations and bought all my threads. I’m making an early start on my holiday gifts this year! You can find out more on her blog.
Whilst we were away my daughter and I spotted some beautiful pink ballet clothes in Cath Kidston which she wanted to try on. She’s been to a baby ballet class and they are the prefect clothes to wear. Luckily my husband thought so too and bought them for her. I can’t wait for her next class.
I finally found some time for adult crafting. I love my children dearly but I seem to lose any ‘me’ time during the school holidays. I’ve missed sewing and making things for myself but I finally finished a cheeky alpaca embroidery and have started work on a new quilt.
